Prepare and review year-end accounts and tax computations, manage client queries and support junior colleagues across a varied portfolio.

The Role

Our client is looking for an Accounts Senior to join its team. This could suit an experienced Semi Senior ready to step up or an established Senior looking for a fresh opportunity.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Preparing corporation tax computations and returns.
• Reviewing bookkeeping records and resolving accounting queries.
• Managing assignments and keeping work on track against deadlines.
• Speaking directly with clients to gather information and explain their accounts.
• Reviewing junior colleagues’ work and providing practical guidance.

About You

You’ll have strong accounts preparation experience within an accountancy practice and be comfortable taking work through to review stage.

You may be ACA or ACCA qualified, nearing qualification, or qualified by experience. Confidence communicating with clients and a good working knowledge of accounts and tax are key.

Experience with software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage would also be useful.
