£26,000–£35,000 per year

Prepare year-end accounts, tax computations and VAT returns for a portfolio of clients, building your experience across a range of businesses.

The Role

We’re recruiting for a Semi Senior Accountant to join our client’s practice in Oxford. This could suit someone ready to move beyond an Accounts Assistant role or an existing Semi Senior looking for their next step.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Preparing accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Preparing corporation tax computations and supporting tax returns.
• Completing VAT returns and reviewing bookkeeping records.
• Liaising with clients to gather information and resolve queries.
• Preparing working papers for review and acting on feedback.
• Keeping assignments on track to meet agreed deadlines.

About You

You’ll have experience within an accountancy practice and a practical grounding in accounts preparation and bookkeeping.

You may be studying towards AAT, ACA or ACCA, or building your career through experience. An organised approach, clear communication and a willingness to learn will help you succeed.

Experience using Xero, QuickBooks or Sage would be welcome.
