Accounts Senior / Semi Senior – Swindon

Prepare year-end accounts and tax computations for a range of clients, with responsibility for assignments, client queries and reviewing work depending on your experience.

The Role

Our client is looking for an Accounts Senior or Semi Senior to join its team. You could be developing your experience while studying or already working at Senior level and ready for a fresh opportunity.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Preparing corporation tax computations and returns.
• Completing VAT work and resolving bookkeeping queries.
• Liaising with clients to gather information and answer accounts and tax questions.
• Managing your workload to meet agreed deadlines.
• At Senior level, reviewing work and supporting junior colleagues.

About You

You’ll have accounts preparation experience gained within an accountancy practice.

For Semi Senior candidates, a good grounding in bookkeeping and experience preparing accounts for review will be useful. Senior candidates should be comfortable handling assignments independently and guiding less experienced colleagues.

You may be studying towards AAT, ACA or ACCA, already qualified, or qualified by experience. Clear communication and an organised approach are key at either level.
