Audit & Accounts Trainee – Swindon

We’re working with a growing accountancy practice in Swindon that is looking to recruit an Audit & Accounts Traineeto join its team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the start of their practice career who wants to build strong technical skills, gain broad client exposure, and join a firm that will properly invest in their development. The role offers a good mix of audit and accounts work, with exposure to both the charity/not-for-profit and commercial sectors.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting on audit and accounts assignments for a wide range of clients
• Assisting with year-end accounts preparation
• Preparing draft corporation tax and business tax computations
• Working with cloud-based software and a variety of accounting systems
• Communicating with clients in a professional and timely manner
• Supporting the team with ad-hoc projects as needed

What they’re looking for:

• Strong academics, including GCSE Maths and English and A-levels or a degree
• Good organisation skills and the ability to manage deadlines
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• A genuine interest in accountancy and building a long-term career in practice
• Any previous audit exposure would be helpful, but training will be provided
