The Company & Role:

We're working with a respected, long-established medium-sized accountancy firm in Reading, to recruit a key addition to their growing team.

This firm blends a welcoming culture and strong client base with international exposure, offering a rare mix of variety, career development, and flexibility.

Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Preparing/reviewing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, charities, and groups
• Producing/reviewing monthly or quarterly management accounts (including prepayments, accruals, depreciation, etc.)
• Assisting with bespoke advisory projects
• Reviewing VAT returns and supporting client bookkeeping when needed
• Working at client premises where required, liaising directly with stakeholders
• Reviewing junior work and helping to train less experienced colleagues
• Getting involved in internal initiatives, development, and shaping the firm's processes

Requirements:

• ACA/ACCA qualified or part qualified
• At least 3 years' experience within an accountancy practice
• Experience with statutory accounts and management accounts
• Familiarity with CCH Accounts Production and Xero (bonus, not essential)
• Able to manage priorities, review work, and communicate clearly with clients and colleagues
