About the Role

Hybrid Working & Exciting Clients!

The Company & Role

We're working with a respected, long-established medium-sized accountancy firm in Guildford, now part of a wider top 100 group, to recruit a key addition to their growing team.

This firm blends a welcoming culture and strong client base with international exposure, offering a rare mix of variety, career development, and flexibility.

The Role

As an Accounts Senior, you'll work closely with clients across a range of industries, supporting both statutory and management accounting needs. You'll take on more complex work and play a key role in guiding junior team members.

Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, charities, and groups
  • Producing monthly or quarterly management accounts (including prepayments, accruals, depreciation, etc.)
  • Assisting with bespoke advisory projects
  • Preparing VAT returns and supporting client bookkeeping when needed
  • Working at client premises where required, liaising directly with stakeholders
  • Assisting with audit prep and supporting the audit team
  • Reviewing junior work and helping to train less experienced colleagues
  • Getting involved in internal initiatives, development, and shaping the firm's processes

Benefits

  • Hybrid working and flexible hours
  • Beautiful, modern office
  • ACA/ACCA study support (if required)
  • Strong support for personal growth and future career progression
  • Opportunity to work on UK and international clients, including travel if desired
  • Great team culture with regular social events and employee-led groups (like ESG and mental health support)
  • A forward-thinking approach, including investment in tech and AI
  • 35-hour week, pension scheme, counselling support access
  • Be part of a firm that genuinely cares about its people and is investing in its future

Requirements

  • ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified
  • At least 3 years' experience within an accountancy practice
  • Experience with statutory accounts and management accounts
  • Familiarity with CCH Accounts Production and Xero (bonus, not essential)
  • Able to manage priorities, review work, and communicate clearly with clients and colleagues
