The Company & Role
We're working with an accountancy practice based in Basingstoke that's looking to recruit an Outsourcing Associate to join its team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with clients, wants to broaden their accounting knowledge and is keen to play a part in helping businesses navigate the changes surrounding Making Tax Digital.
You'll be involved in a mixture of day-to-day outsourcing work and MTD-related projects, with opportunities to take on further responsibility as you develop.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts
- Completing bookkeeping, reconciliations and VAT returns
- Supporting clients with MTD compliance and digital record-keeping requirements
- Helping clients transition to cloud accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks
- Liaising directly with clients and providing ongoing accounting support
- Identifying opportunities to improve clients' accounting processes
About You
We're keen to hear from candidates with previous experience in a UK accountancy practice, particularly within bookkeeping, management accounts or outsourcing.
Experience with MTD would be beneficial, but you don't need to be an expert!
