About the Role
Accounts AM / Manager (Accountancy Practice) – Opportunity to Build Experience in Corporate Finance - Guildford
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced Accounts Assistant Manager or Manager to join a dynamic accountancy and business advisory practice. This role involves managing a portfolio of UK and international clients, overseeing staff, and supporting the training and development of junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of corporate clients, partnerships, and sole traders, ensuring timely preparation and review of complex accounts
- Liaise with the tax department for VAT returns and ensure all filings are accurate and timely
- Train and supervise new and junior staff in both the Guildford office and overseas
- Promote innovative accounting practices and assist with business development activities, including attending networking events
- Build experience in Corporate Finance
Skills & Qualifications:
- ACA or ACCA qualified with at least 4 years of practice experience
- Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel and accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks)
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities, with attention to detail
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, client-focused, and flexible, with a willingness to travel between offices and client sites as needed.
