A team-focused firm based in Royston is looking to expand the Audit team and bring in a semi-senior whose skills and knowledge can benefit the growing team. This practice is known to offer demonstrable progression, even through to partner level working in diverse industry sectors, with agriculture and land development based clients being their speciality.

The Responsibilities

As a Semi-Senior Auditor, you’ll be responsible for…

• Prepare business accounts, tax computations, VAT returns, and assist with personal tax returns from information provided by the client.
• Perform journal entries, general ledger operations, reconciliations, and maintain balance sheet accounts.
• Support senior accountants with financial and management accounts, including year-end closings and in-house control procedures.
• Conduct on-site SME audits alongside the Audit Manager and review client bookkeeping systems.
• Liaise with clients, including face-to-face meetings, and handle administrative duties as required.
• Implement and improve bookkeeping and accounting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.

What we’re looking for

• ACA/ACCA part qualified/ AAT qualified
• 2-3 years of experience within an accountancy practice.
• Proficient with accountancy packages such as IRIS, Xero, QuickBooks and Sage.
