The Company

We’ve just partnered with a grounded, traditional practice based in the heart of Royston, and we’re looking for a semi-senior accountant to expand upon the long-existing team. Our client specialises in the agriculture sector, such as land management and farming. They’re well known for their supportive team culture, high staff retention, study support and generous benefits package.

 

The Responsibilities

As a Semi Senior Accountant, you’ll be responsible for…

• Prepare and present complete accounts files to the accounts manager, ready for

review for sole traders, partnerships and corporate entities.

• Preparing basic business tax and personal tax computations, as well as VAT returns.
• Assisting with compliance tasks such as KYC and AML checks.
• Training juniors and assisting with queries.
• Liaising directly with clients to build and maintain strong long lasting relationships.
• Review and implementation of client bookkeeping systems.

What we’re looking for

• ACA/ACCA part qualified/ AAT qualified
• 2-3 years of experience within an accountancy practice.
• Proficient with accountancy packages such as IRIS, Xero, QuickBooks and Sage.
