About the Role
A well-grounded, long-established practice based near the coast of Canterbury is searching for an Audit Assistant Manager to come to support senior colleagues, whilst managing their own small portfolio of clients within a wide range of sectors. Position Overview
Provide a high-quality client service experience alongside senior colleagues, whilst having responsibility for your own small portfolio of audit clients & associated audit workflow and ensuring adherence to job budgets and maximum fee recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and prioritise audit work across clients, ensuring adherence to firm standards, managing complex areas, and maximising efficiency and budget adherence.
- Monitor progress, manage workload, resolve issues proactively, ensure audit files meet quality standards, and handle billing and workflow systems (APS).
- Act as main contact for a portfolio of clients, maintain regular communication, attend key meetings, and ensure client compliance requirements (AML, KYC, etc.) are met.
- Supervise and support audit teams, delegate tasks effectively, provide feedback, and contribute to training and development initiatives.
- Facilitate access to audit clients for other internal teams, promote cross-selling of services, and support internal communication and referrals.
- Contribute to growth through networking, attending pitches, supporting marketing efforts, and developing new business opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA Qualified
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to develop relationships both with clients and team members
- Proactive approach to meet deadlines
