This role supports the Accounts and Tax Department to provide clients with a wide range of Accountancy and Advisory services.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
• Preparation of Year End Accounts work
• Corporate Tax computations
• Preparation of Quarterly VAT Returns
• Bookkeeping / Accounting
Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities are detailed below, although the post holder would also be expected to
perform any other duties which might reasonably be required by the business.
• Analysing, summarising and reconciling client accounting records
• Coding up summaries and posting the same on to accounts production software
• Preparing basic sets of accounts, corporation tax returns and VAT returns including
preparation of a complete file
• Assisting with the preparation and submission of more substantial and/or complex accounts,
VAT returns, company accounts and corporation tax returns
• Associated administrative work
• Understanding and adhering to the firm’s internal procedures and external compliance
Requirements:
It is expected that the employee will be able to independently complete more basic tasks albeit it is
not necessarily expected that you would produce the ‘finished article’ without some input from senior
/ manager.
On more substantial / complex jobs, it is expected that the employee will require guidance and support
but as experience develops will be able to complete defined aspects of the work independently.
